POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for acquiring and retaining advertising revenue to achieve profitability and growth. High visibility, professionalism and integrity are required. Responsible for driving sales culture and results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining company initiatives and metrics as related to department performance and client satisfaction.
- Coach sales team to sell and maintain advertising client base generating advertising revenue and market growth.
- Expert in closing of a sale.
- Proficient in media research and qualitative date justifying client expenditure.
- Oversee the timely submission for deadlines and complete require paperwork is accurate in order to facilitate the completion of the sales process.
- Assure that accounts receivable for advertising client base is up to standards and adherence to internal procedures.
- Partner with promotions manager for effective and successful market campaigns and promotions.
- Utilize active communication skills, with Account Executives internally and clients externally in order to better motivate sales team results.
- Work with Account Executives to identify client short-term and long-term needs and establish and develop business partnerships.
- Conduct weekly Individual Business Meeting (IBM) with staff to drive success.
- Demonstrate and ensure compliance with all sales training programs.
- Assist the General Sales Manager or General Manager in the development of budgets.
- Foster a positive company image.
- Comply with all established policies and procedures.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience.
- Five plus years media sales experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Previous supervisory experience preferred.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
This position's primary function is to coordinate materials and data for Account Executives and Media buying clients in order to develop and drive revenue streams for Insight Media.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create sales proposal documents and presentations for Account Executive to use with current and prospective clients
- Coordinate research and promotional materials to support Account Executive needs
- Research and gather marketing and other demographic data, to be presented to clients with minimal oversight
- Understand the sales process and assist the Account Executive in maximizing revenue generation; this includes understanding network programming; creating and managing data from reports generated out of NOVAR
- Manage exception reports and implement corrective measures to prevent loss of revenue
- Escalating performance and revenue issues to supervisor or manager
- Create "one-sheet" information documents with data specific to client needs
- Coordinate with traffic to correct billing discrepancies, makegoods and account maintenance
- Interact with clients on behalf of the Account Executive
- Train Sales Trainees on network programming and various supporting software programs
- Assist with special projects, work closely with all department for the assurance of client satisfaction and driving revenue
- General support for Sales Staff and Sales Managers

POSITION SUMMARY:
Entry-level trainee media sales position. For six – twelve months learn the ropes of the business while training to sell media advertising commercial time on local avails, local origination productions, and digital channels, as well as other new products as they are developed. Upon completion of the training curriculum, position may transition to a seasoned Account Executive. Must be willing to relocate within the state upon successful completion of program.
TRAINING CURRICULUM RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Month one to six
- 50-75% of time - perform Sales Assistant Responsibilities
- Research backup to sales assistant in the designated office(s)
- Assist designated Account Executives with presentations, media kits, traffic, billing issues, production, and collections
- 25-50% of time - perform Account Executive responsibilities
- Learn to develop, sell, and maintain advertising client base driving advertising revenue by shadowing Sr. Account Executives
- Handle sales activity for sick, vacationing or departing Account Executives
- 50-75% of time - perform Sales Assistant Responsibilities
- Month six - twelve:
- 60-90% of time - perform Account Executive responsibilities
- 10-40% of time - perform Sales Assistant Responsibilities
